Halte routière
Our regional rest area is located at the intersection of routes 125 and 347, in the heart of our village. It's an ideal spot to take a break, have a picnic, and relax by the Dufresne River. Additionally, you can enjoy the beauty of nature by exploring our hiking trail. A public beach is situated along the Dufresne River, accessible on foot from the rest area or by car via the dam road.

Paddleboarding and canoeing offer another way to explore the park during the beautiful season. Enjoy the calm waters of our lakes and some marked sections of the Ouareau River to appreciate the grandeur of the surrounding nature. A completely new perspective. If you don't have the equipment and are curious to try the experience, we offer a full rental service (board, paddle, canoe, and life jacket) at the reception desk.
Descente de la Rouge
A canoe or kayak descent along the stunning Rouge River promises breathtaking landscapes. The routes unfold on calm waters. Depending on the season, only one route features a class R2 rapid. With transportation provided from the visitor center to the starting point of your adventure, you can descend the Rouge River at your own pace.

Descente de rivière (Halte Routière – Chutes)
From the roadside rest area in the village of Duhamel, take a river descent to Lac Simon. Be sure to bring your own watercraft (tubes, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) and arrange for a vehicle to return from Lac Simon's beach to the roadside rest area.
Piste cyclable
The 10-kilometer bike path, built on the former La Singer railway line, winds through the surroundings of the village of Duhamel and Lac Simon. It's the perfect route for a family outing!
